Friday Afternoon

Well things haven't gone totally to plan, but we are getting there. More sewing was done today and a few nappies have gone in the post.

Here are a couple of nappies that went via carrier pigeon



Black windpro - dragonfly imported flannel - nice and bright, this is the inside.



Then a picture of the outer. 1) Mauve highloft windpro, lavender velour inner, and cotton print flower face Deco-Tabs. 2) Lush black windpro, dragonfly flannel inner.



And a Christening romper for a baby possum :) Grandma possum did the smocking, and yours truly did the sewing up. Baby possum and Baby K are being Christened on the same day.

I have pictures of those instocks and appliques still to go up. Shane didn't get to them today, so he'll do them tomorrow morning. There are a couple of OOAK goodies, which I will preview late tomorrow afternoon. Might be a couple more random custom stockings in between now and then, but that all depends on the munchkins. Delivery times will be stated on the listing :)

A productive night

Well Baby K is heaps better, and slept wonderfully last night, so I'm feeling a bit like my old self.

Her gown is just about finished, just buttons, neck, sleeve and a titch of embroidery to finish off, pictures to come later of my heirloom sewing day. An outfit a little possum is nearly finished as well :)

Nappy sewing for the most part of today as well, nearly finished whew!

I'm doing some stocking on OZeBaby randomly for the most part, but I will post on the forum, if I'm listing a few at a time. I have a few here to finish before I put them all up, and Shane still needs to take pics for those previewing already. A couple of appliques in the mix as well.

My sister is down for the Christening and then staying for a week, so I'll be offline for the most part from Sunday to Saturday next week. I will answer emails, but there maybe a delay getting to them. We need to start scouring the stores for a formal dress for my 16yo yikes!

Monday Morning

So it wasn't Katherine's teeth at all. She has a temp and vomiting bug :( Shane and I were up half the night with the poor little poppet.

Sunday 25th March

So nothing has gone to plan. Katherine is suffering with her little teeth, and RNW just about did me in :(

Subscriber nappies are all cut out and tabs made. They are all pinned together, but with an unhappy bubba and a still ill toddler, I can only get so much done in a day. I am breaking them up into small managable piles to do some each day. If anyone doesn't want to wait, I'm more than happy to refund your money, although they should all be gone by weeks end.

I'll be posting pics as they are done, and as always you will receive an email when they have been sent.

Katherine's gown is still in pieces :( and the Christening is Sunday.

Friday 23rd March

Well RNW is going swimmingly for the most part. The nappy display yesterday was quiet, but we expect the Saturday one here in Brisbane to be very busy, as it was last year. Lots of yummy lucky door prizes, and sewing demos as well.

It's Shane's birthday tomorrow, and I haven't even organised anything, luckily he doesn't mind.

The ANN shirts have arrived and look great!!!!

Subscriber nappies are well on their way, and hopefully nearly all of them will be finished on the weekend. I'll keep you posted here. William is at daycare today, when normally not, so I can keep sewing for all you ladies out there.

Sunday Night 18th March

Baby K is 8mths old today, where has the time gone.

Anyways a nappy sewing update. All the customs, bar one are finished from the OZeBaby Stocking.

Subscriber nappies are cut, and are being started. I send them out in the order they were received, the sale stated at 4am (its in US time), according to the shopping cart, so you should be able to tell from there roughly where your order is in the scheme of things. They will start going in the post tomorrow as I get them finished. I am working as fast as I can, but Reusable Nappy Week is this week as well, so I'm tied up for 3 days with that as well. Again if you have any questions regards your order, please feel free to email me.

I'm waiting on some pre-order Monkey Doodlez and some new fleece applique cuts to arrive, mail from Canada is being weird however.

Congratulations to all the GDUNH winners, I hope you have a fab time with your wonderful goodies, and it will be good to get my sofa bed back, it's been crushed under the weight of prizes for a few weeks now lol!!!

Some Frogs went hopping away.

Well the very last Orange Hop HoneyBoy! hopped out the door today, on the way to it's new home. It took a friend in a Black Swamp :)



I finished off a few more customs the last couple of days, started to tidy up the sewing room. Will be working on subscriber nappies and prizes for RNW Lucky Door Prizes over the weekend.



This Black Panda is winging it's way to the West, a special custom for a lovely lady and her munchkin.

William has delightfully given Baby K her first cold, not bad since she's 8mths old, but she's been very restless at night with it.

Her Christening gown in now officially smocked and I've started on the embroidery.

Wednesday Afternoon

Well William is now on the mend thank goodness, I've had very little sleep the last few nights, but we are getting there.

Baby K has cut her first tooth - wonder if that explains her irritability as well, or she's going out in sympathy for William lol!!

Anyways, pictures here of what went today. Balance of customs from OZeBaby will be going out tomorrow, barring those held for RNW - you know who you are :)

All subscriber nappies are cut and they'll be started Friday, then it's onto bulk orders and a few other bits and pieces to fill in the gaps.

Pictures are also up on the OZeBaby RNW raffle of the HoneyBoy! Dyed Basic up for grabs. It turned out gorgeous, mind you it's the second one I made, the sewing machine ate the first one grrr!!! - Okay well I put a copy here as well, just to tempt you with more raffle tickets :)

I have a very large pile of emails to answer and also quite a few ladies to get back to about RNW. I will endeavour to attend to those tomorrow. I thank you all for your patience and understanding.

Monday Night

Well now William's sick :( so running behind again.

Now you all know I don't sew at night, but to catch up I am. Nappies will go this week, no matter what, I hate being behind.

If anyone has concerns about their nappies, please feel free to email me. Subscribers, your nappies will be started as soon as the customs are out of the way.

Sunday 11th March

All the customs are now cut, working on sewing some of them today, with the balance hopefully being sewn tomorrow.

Just dyed a piece of hemp fleece, for the outer of a HoneyBoy! Basic, suitable for nights, that will be raffled to raise funds for RNW, will get that sewn today - go to our Gossamer Dreams store, to see the raffle prizes. Something for everyone there.

Shane's been madly working on the RNW website, but will hopefully tackle my website today.

Baby K is now pulling herself up and standing on everything, and W is singing ad infinitum, the pirate songs, from the Pirate Movie, quite tired of the 'I am the Pirate King' over and over again.

Smocked baby gown is smocked, and I'll have to whizz that up on the machine, in the next day or so, and then add the embroidery.

Baby K's Christening gown now has 4 rows of smocking on it, only about another 8 to go, then the embroidery, lace insertion, pin tucks, argh!!!! Only 20 days to go.

Friday 9th March

Well the applique bulk order is well on it's way - just needs topstitching and aplix added. Working on cutting the customs, and will be sewing them on the weekend. All going well, they'll be posted on Monday.

Baby K is cutting teeth, but hopefully they'll be through shortly and all will be good :)

Haven't started smocking her Christening gown yet :( Working on smocking an order first, more than half way done.

Newsletter 30

Hello Everyone,

Welcome to the first Newsletter sent from our new program. We appreciate all those that have followed the link in the invitation and resubscribed. We'll see how this works out for us.

So an update for March:-

I'm closing for the next 2 weeks, to catch up on pending orders and other cloth nappy business. While the Nappy Hunt itself is over, after Susie collates all the data from the Hunters and selects the winners, we have the prizes to send out, and with Reusable Nappy Week(tm) and Baby K's christening looming, I need to buckle under and work my tail off, to get everything finished in time. So I'm basically going offline. I still have quite a few emails to answer - not ignoring anyone, but they are in a large to do pile, and I will get back to you as soon as I am able. If you have anything urgent you need to discuss, please put URGENT in your subject line, otherwise, I'll get to them as I can, or will answer them when I get back online.

I will be keeping everyone updated on orders and such via my blog - which can be viewed here http://cherubskiss.blogspot.com/ it will also keep you up
to date, with what's coming, and new fabrics etc as they arrive.

Reusable Nappy Week(tm), from March 19th to 25th is coming up fast - the Brisbane WAHMs are getting together to raise some funds, to pay for the hire of halls and printing costs. We will be holding a raffle at our OZeBaby Gossamer Dreams Store, sometime in the next couple of weeks, with tickets being sold for $2 each (no limit on the number you can buy) and there will be a number of different prizes available in the draw. Basically for $2 you could win a HoneyBoy! AIO. And I will be at the Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday events here in Brisbane, and would love to meet you if you can make it to any of our events.

We'll also be updating the website with some new pictures, pics of babies wearing HB nappies - so you can see roughly what size would suit your bub - if you'd like your bub to feature on our site, please send clear pics with bub's first name, age, weight, build and HB size, as we'd love to see them. We've also changed the instocks page, splitting up the various nappies into sections, so it's easier to find products.

Australia Post has again increased their prices, so postage charges will reflect that, please note that we charge a 30c packaging charge on every order to cover the necessary packaging supplies so your order arrives in pristine condition.

Starting work tomorrow, on customs from OZeBaby and the bulk applique order.

Newsletter

So Shane unable to sleep last night, reset the newsletter - it's gone out to all the past subscribers, and you need to join up as per the invite, to be kept up to date.

We'll wait a couple of days, and then send out an up to date newsletter.

Friday

Alrighty everyone. We've upgraded our newsletter program, and a newsletter will be going out today. I'm closing the CK site for the next two weeks, to catch up on the orders I have in the works, and to revamp the website with new pictures. Work on some new nappies - see Gossamer Dreams for a Christening/Baptism nappy.

Baby K's own Christening is fast approaching, and I need to finish - oops start her gown ;) so that has to fit in as well.

I will be keeping everyone updated through the blog, so unless your email is marked as urgent, all updates will be posted here, and emails replied to on the 15th March.

Nappy Hunt went well, and prizes are packed and waiting for the winner's names to be drawn.

Okay so today's update is - working on all the appliqued orders from OZeBaby, and some will go today, the rest tomorrow.
